Nora Ramtke, Research Associate in German Studies at Ruhr University Bochum, works on German literature, media history and print culture from the early modern period through the nineteenth century. Her research centers on periodical literature, authorship, and the interplay of media formats. In particular, she investigates practices of anthologisation, reprint culture, and the temporalities of periodicals and collections. Her first book, Anonymität – Onymität. Autorname und Autorschaft in Wilhelm Meisters ›doppelten Wanderjahren‹ (2016), examines questions of authorship and anonymity in the era of Goethe, while her more recent work explores the dynamics of periodical and anthological publication. Nora Ramtke was PI of the project “Collection Formats – Practices of Reprint between the Anthologisation of the Periodical and the Periodisation of the Anthology” as part of the DFG Research Unit 2288 Journal Literature (2019-2025). She has also co-edited volumes on periodical formats, media competition, and anthology practices. Nora Ramtke holds a Ph.D. in German Philology from Ruhr University Bochum (2015).
